Lloyd Copeland

Lloyd Copeland joined the firm in 2001 bringing with him extensive appellate experience to enhance the firm's complex motion and appellate practice. After law school, Mr. Copeland served as law clerk for the late Judge Richard L. Holmes of the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals. He has served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alabama and as the chief trial lawyer for the Mobile County District Attorney's Office. In 1999, Mr. Copeland was named Special Assistant Attorney General in which capacity he successfully represented several Mobile County Circuit Judges in a mandamus proceeding before the Alabama Supreme Court. He is involved in all aspects of the firm's practice, but concentrates in class actions and other complex litigation.
Mr. Copeland is married to the former Linda Dorough. He has one daughter and three grandchildren. Mr. Copeland enjoys reading, history - especially World War II history, walking, and target shooting. He is a lover of Great Dane dogs.
